In transition, the Assembly of Mission at the Eastward approved the following vision for the Mission as we move forward:

"Mission at the Eastward is a dynamic, forward-looking family of Presbyterian churches and service ministries located in West Central Maine, inspired by Christ to worship and work, "reaching the last house on the last road" with God's gifts and graces so that they are exemplified, multiplied, and shared with others for the good of all."

And as we prepare for that future, we will strive to meet that Vision as:

"Mission at the Eastward provides timely and new vision, leadership development, sharing of best practices and other resources to its family of churches and ministries. Working in collaboration with its churches and ministries, it strives to reveal the relevance of God in everyone's life, promote thoughtful and effective discipleship through established and new missions, and invite all to active participation in the worship and life of the church."
